This blog combines two of my favourite things, books and flowers. Thankfully, an awful lot of novels talk about plants. In each post I'll look at a flower which plays an important role in the story, with a few growing tips and some plant talk thrown in. I'll try and make it vaguely seasonal, focusing on flowers which are out at the time. Sorry that this is such a short introduction, but hopefully the posts will explain themselves!

  1. If you don't already have a "rose" novel, you could try "The Rose Rent" by Ellis Peters, if you've not read it already (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rose_Rent).

    Thanks for the card, BTW.

    1. I have a yellow rose novel (any guesses as to what it is?) but not a white rose one. I'll look into it!
